TOPIK II : Listening (Qs 9~16; Choosing Next Action, Same Content)

Dear TOPIK Aspirant, Welcome!
In this post I will be sharing the details of the below two types of listening questions and few tips:

TOPIK II Listening

Questions 9~12 Next Action by lady, 이어서 여자가 할 행동을 고르기.

These type of questions involve dialogue between a man & a lady, man being the conversation starter.

• While listening the audio, read the options. The pace of the audio will allow to do so.
• From the options eliminate the actions which have already taken place in the past. 
• Focus on what the man asks the woman in the last dialogue.
• Focus on the potential actions to be done by the lady. There will be options which may not be immediate action of the lady, they might be the second or third step, but not he first step. So focus on the action which is demanded on priority. Words like firstly, immediately etc. should be listened carefully.

이러한 질문에 남자로부터 벌어지는 남자와 여자가 하는 대화가 나온다..

• 오디오 파일을 들으면서, 답지를 확인한다. 오디오 속도가 빠르지 않아서 답지를 확인할 시간이 충분하다.
• 과거에 벌써 끝났던 행동을 선택에서 뺀다.
• 마지막에 나오는 남자가 여자에게 요청한 행동은 집중해서 듣는다. 요청할 때 쓰이는 최우선적인 단어로 ‘예를 들어서, 가장 먼저, 일단’ 등에 집중해야 한다. 
• 답지에 여자가 이어서 할 일들은 몇 개의 가능하지만 최우선으로 해야 할 행동을 골라야 한다. 두 번째, 세 번째로 가능할 행동을 빼야 한다.

지문 (시험에 안 나옴):

해설:

• 세 번째 문장을 보면 남자는 자기가 건전지를 가지러 간다고 했지만 마지막 문장에 나온 "아니야''로 남자가 제공하는 행동을 거절하며, 여자가 갈 거라고 말했기 때문에 여자가 건전지를 가지러 간다라는 1번이 정답이다.
• 2번 선택은 이미 확인했던 행동이므로 안 된다.
• 3번은 남자가 이어서 할 행동이다.
• 4번은 할 행동과 알맞지 않아서 안 된다.

Questions 13~16 Choosing same thing as audio content  들은 내용과 일치하는 것을 고르기.

• While listening the audio, read the options.
• In general the options` sequence will be aligned to the sequence of audio contents. But it could be mixed as well.
• Be attentive to the details and take notes of dates, timing, numbers etc.
• Options will not directly be aligned to the audio file. It will use antonyms , synonyms and will be put indirectly.

• 오디오 파일을 들으면서, 답지를 확인한다. 오디오 속도가 빠르지 않아서 답지를 확인할 시간이 충분하다.
• 일반적으로 답지의 순서가 오디오 내용의 순서와 맞게 나오나, 답지의 순서가 섞어 있을 수도 있다
• 날짜, 시간, 숫자 등의 내용을 꼼꼼하게 메모한다. 
• 답지에 있는 내용들이 직접적으로 오디오 파일과 일치하지 않으며, 비슷한 말, 반대 되는 말 등으로 표현이 되는 것을 참고해야 한다.

지문 (시험에 안 나옴):

 해설:

1. 점검은 오늘이라 1번이 안됨
2. 오전과 오후에 점검이 있으므로 2번 안됨.
3. 비상벨이 여러 번 울릴 것은 맞으며, 3번은 정답이다.
4. 점검이 시작되면 놀라지 말라고 해서 밖으로 나갈 필요가 없기 때문에 4번은 안됨.
